There was an upset in Lugo where higher rankedFerrol (11-11) was defeated by eleventh ranked Ensino (8-14) 92-86 on Saturday. Ensino made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. The former international point guard Claudia Soriano (170-2003, college: Northeastern) fired 21 points for the winners. American guard Laura Howard (178-1995, college: USF) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists. Czech guard Julie Pospisilova (183-1999, college: Wisconsin) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and forward Gala Mestres (185-1994, college: Mount Royal) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Four Ensino and five Ferrol players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ensino maintains eleventh position with 8-14 record, which they share with Cadi La Seu. Newly promoted Ferrol keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Estudiantes and Gernika.
