LeaderValencia delivered the nineteenth win on Saturday night. This time they crushed 8th ranked Ferrol (11-12) 74-54 . They outrebounded Ferrol 40-25 including 30 on the defensive glass. American forward Nadia Fingall (191-1998, college: Stanford) chipped in 8 points and 10 rebounds. Alba Sanchez-Ramos (183-2000, college: Wyoming) produced 11 points and the former international point guard Angela Mataix (179-2000) added 9 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Valencia have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 19-3 record. Newly promoted Ferrol dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Estudiantes and Gernika. Valencia are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Ardoi (#16) in Zizur Mayor in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Ferrol will play on the road against Araski (#14) in Vitoria-Gasteiz and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
