There was an upset when higher rankedCastello B (10-13) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Almassera (8-14) 67-50 on Sunday. Almassera made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Pablo Rosello (-1998) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and point guard Hugo Rueda (183-1989) chipped in 8 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. At the losing side forward Victor Rodriguez (201-2000) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Javier Trechera (-2001) scored 5 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Almassera moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Tabernes and Godella. Loser Castello B dropped to the seventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Fuengirola.
