Very predictable result when sixth rankedMelilla (18-10) won against 14th ranked NBF Castello (7-21) in Castellon 85-81 on Saturday. Strangely NBF Castello outrebounded Melilla 42-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Russian power forward Maria Davydova (190-1993, college: FIU) nailed 16 points for the winning side and forward Andrea Hernangomez (185-2000, college: Fairfield) accounted for 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Aina Ferri (-2005) came up with 19 points and 8 rebounds and Laura Campos (-2001) added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for NBF Castello in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Melilla . They maintain sixth place with 18-10 record. NBF Castello lost their eleventh game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with 21 games lost.
