There was a surprise result when thirteenth rankedMataro Parc (9-16) beat on the road higher ranked Esparreguera (15-11) 93-85 on Saturday. Center Antonio Ruiz (202-1997) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Bernat Alvarez (176-1995) supported him with 15 points and 7 assists. Five Mataro Parc players scored in double figures. Even 11 points and 8 assists by guard Jeremy Martin (185-1998) did not help to save the game for Esparreguera . Xavier Rosas (-2003) added 12 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Mataro Parc moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Valls. Esparreguera lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourth position with 11 games lost. They share it with 4 other teams.
