Regular Season Round 2: Zamora - Ardoi 71-79

There was a minor upset when Zamora lost at home to Ardoi 79-71 on Saturday. Sara Castro (173-1999, college: Colorado) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and supported her with 17 points. Four Ardoi players scored in double figures. Even 15 points by did not help to save the game for Zamora. Uruguayan point guard Florencia Niski (165-2002) added 15 points for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ardoi will meet at home Al-Qazeres in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Zamora will play against Celta Zorka in Vigo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
