Regular Season Round 3: Zaragoza - Rio Breogan 84-88

There was a minor upset when Zaragoza (1-2) was defeated at home by Breogan Lugo (1-2) 88-84 on Saturday. Rio Breogan forced 21 Zaragoza turnovers. The best player for the winners was American point guard DeWayne Russell (180-1994, college: GCU) who scored 16 points and 6 assists. The former international Francis Alonso (191-1996, college: UNCG) chipped in 12 points. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international Santiago Yusta (200-1997) who recorded 22 points and American forward Devin Robinson (203-1995, college: Florida) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Four Zaragoza players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Breogan Lugo will meet Barca (#13) in the next round. Zaragoza will play against Burgos SP (#16) and hope to win that game.
