Regular Season Round 4: Estudiantes - Alicante 88-82
Date: October 19, 2025
The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss ofAlicante (2-1) in Madrid on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Estudiantes (4-0) 88-82 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Alicante. Estudiantes made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Alicante helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Finnish Sasu Salin (190-1991) who helped to win the game recording 17 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Italian-Uruguayan guard Jayson Granger (191-1989) contributed with 9 points and 6 assists for the winners. Granger is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Danish center Kevin Larsen (208-1993, college: GWU) replied with 18 points and 6 rebounds and American point guard Jordan Walker (186-1997, college: Morehead St.) added 18 points in the effort for Alicante. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Estudiantes have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Palencia and Coruna. Alicante at the other side keeps the fifth place with one game lost. They share the position with Ourense. Estudiantes is looking forward to face Obradoiro (#9) in Santiago de Compostela in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Alicante will play at home against Zamora (#10) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
