Regular Season Round 3: Salesianos - Caja Rural 76-69

There was an upset when Caja Rural (2-3) lost to Salesianos (1-2) in Ourense 69-76 on Sunday. Salesianos outrebounded Caja Rural 53-31 including a 23-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Martin Alvarez (-2006) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Canadian-Irish point guard Alston Harris (183, college: Lakehead, agency: BAGENCY CSA) accounted for 21 points for the winning side. Four Salesianos players scored in double figures. came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Caja Rural in the defeat. Salesianos will meet Obradoiro S. (#25) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Caja Rural will play against Rosalia (#27) and hope to secure a win.
