There was a surprise result when fourteenth rankedValle de Egues (1-3) edged higher ranked La Leonesa (1-3) in Olaz 92-90 on Saturday. Valle de Egues made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American forward Jaxon Knotek (198-2000, college: American, agency: Promo Sport ID) who scored that evening 17 points and supported him with 14 points and 8 assists. Even 18 points and 7 rebounds by American center Riley Hayes (203-1998, college: Catholic) did not help to save the game for La Leonesa . Guard Josep Cera (187-2003) added 17 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for lost side. Four Valle de Egues and five La Leonesa players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Valle de Egues left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with 8 other teams including defeated La Leonesa .
