Regular Season Round 6: Araski - Valencia 56-77

Date: November 7, 2025
No shocking result in a game when second ranked Valencia (5-1) crushed 12th ranked Araski (2-4) in Vitoria-Gasteiz 77-56 on Friday. Valencia looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Araski's players. International center Awa Thiam (192-2006, college: Pima CC) notched 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and international center Raquel Carrera (188-2001) supported her with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Valencia's coach Ruben Burgos felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 7 points and 8 rebounds by Canadian center Quinn Urbaniak-Dornstauder (193-1995, college: Arizona St.) did not help to save the game for Araski. Canadian guard Samantha Hill (177-1994, college: Virginia Tech) added 9 points. Valencia have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 4 other teams. Araski lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh place with four games lost. They share the position with Leganes and Estepona. Valencia will meet at home Leganes (#13) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Araski will play against Joventut in Badalona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
