Regular Season Round 9: Logrono - Al-Qazeres 50-63

The most interesting game of round 9 in the LF Challenge was a home defeat of 7th rankedLogrono (4-4) to sixth ranked Al-Qazeres (5-3) 63-50 in the game for the sixth place. Argentinian forward Victoria Gauna (185-2001) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and Portuguese forward Josephine Filipe (177-1995) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was with 10 points and 5 assists and swingman Cecilia Aldecoa (174-1999, agency: Promo Sport ID) scored 8 points. Logrono's coach Dani Rubio rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Al-Qazeres maintains sixth place with 5-3 record. Logrono at the other side keeps the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with Zamora and Adareva. Al-Qazeres are looking forward to face higher ranked Unicaja (#4) in Malaga in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Logrono will play on the road against Melilla and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
