Not a big story in a game when 15th rankedCartagena (2-7) was outplayed on the road by ninth ranked Zamora (5-4) 90-71 on Saturday. Guard Josep Peris (192-2000) stepped up and scored 20 points and 4 assists for the winners and forward Alvaro Martinez (199-2003) chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds. Five Zamora players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Brazilian center Vitor Faverani (212-1988) with 12 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Alec Wintering (183-1995, college: Portland) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Zamora moved-up to seventh place. Cartagena lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with seven games lost. They share it with Melilla. Zamora will meet Menorca (#11) on the road in the next round. Cartagena will have a break next round.
