Important game to mention about took place in Tenerife. Fifth ranked Ardoi (6-3) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked Adareva (4-4) 69-67 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Adareva. Sara Castro (173-1999, college: Colorado) nailed 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and Argentinian center Julieta Mungo (181-1997) accounted for 16 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Patricia Soler (186-1994) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and Portuguese forward Josephine Filipe (177-1995) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for Adareva in the defeat. Ardoi maintains fifth place with 6-3 record. Adareva at the other side keeps the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with Zamora and Logrono. Ardoi will play against Paterna (#15) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Adareva will play against the league's second-placed Celta Zorka (#2) in Vigo and hopes to get back on the winning track.
