There was no surprise in Zaragoza where 13th rankedMataro UE (2-7) was outplayed by tenth ranked Azulejos (4-5) 100-70 on Sunday. Azulejos looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard John Zhao (193, college: C-N) who scored 29 points. Power forward Eduard Gatell (206-1989) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was who recorded 22 points and 4 assists and Francisco Garrido (197-2000) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Azulejos . They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Mataro UE lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with seven games lost. They share it with Gijon Circulo.
