Regular Season Round 10: Joventut - Ensino 69-63

There was an upset in Badalona where higher ranked Ensino (6-4) was defeated by tenth ranked Joventut (5-5) 69-63 on Sunday. Mali Alima Dembele (186-2000) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American forward Brittany Brewer (196-1997, college: Texas Tech) chipped in 15 points. Joventut's coach Jordi Vizcaino allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Alicia Florez (175-2004) produced 11 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and added 16 points respectively for lost side. Four Ensino players scored in double figures. Joventut moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Ferrol and Jairis. Loser Ensino keeps the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Avenida. Joventut will meet higher ranked Avenida (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ensino will play against Araski and hope to secure a win.
