There was a minor upset in Azkoitia where 8th rankedAdareva (5-7) was defeated by eleventh ranked ISB (5-8) 90-84 on Saturday. ISB dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Adareva 's 32. Skylar Vann stepped up and scored 24 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and American-Samoan guard Geraldynn Leaupepe (179-1996, college: Cal Poly) chipped in 12 points. Leaupepe is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. ISB's coach Luis Aguirre used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Serbian power forward Bojana Stevanovic (180-1996) responded with 28 points and Canadian Marie Forsyth (185-1999, college: Idaho) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. ISB moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Logrono and Lima-Horta. Loser Adareva keeps the eighth position with seven games lost.
