There was a surprise result when fourteenth rankedD'Inca (2-9) smashed on the road higher ranked Mataro Parc (4-8) 108-80 on Saturday. D'Inca dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Mataro Parc 's 36. D'Inca forced 20 Mataro Parc turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Carlos Poyatos (207-1994) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 9 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and Juan Antonio Serra who added 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four D'Inca players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was with 24 points and Eduard Nogues (193-2003) scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. D'Inca moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Almeria. Loser Mataro Parc keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with 10 other teams.
