No shocking result in a game when third rankedValencia (9-2) won against at home 16th ranked MoraBanc Andorra (4-8) 84-79 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Valencia outrebounded Andorra 40-26 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Valencia looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Valencia made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was Senegalese guard Brancou Badio (191-1999) who scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. The former international power forward Jaime Pradilla (202-2001) chipped in 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Guinean point guard Shannon Evans II (185-1994, college: Arizona St.) who recorded 12 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and Slovakian-American Kyle Kuric (193-1989, college: Louisville) added 19 points respectively. Four Andorra players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Valencia maintains third position with 9-2 record having just three points less than leader Real Madrid. Loser MoraBanc Andorra dropped to the fifteenth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Lleida.
