We should mention about the upset which took place in Madrid, where higher rankedEnsino (8-6) lost to twelfth ranked Estudiantes (5-9) in a road game 78-88 . Estudiantes made 20-of-21 charity shots (95.2 percent) during the game. Juana Camilion orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!). German power forward Frieda Buehner (186-2004, college: Florida) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Estudiantes' coach Antonio Pernas allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American-North Macedonian forward Merritt Hempe (190-1994, college: Georgia) replied with 16 points and 9 rebounds and Italian point guard Alessandra Orsili (170-2001) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Ensino. Five Estudiantes and four Ensino players scored in double figures. Estudiantes have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Ensino at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Avenida and Jairis.
