Very important is a road loss of second rankedGirona (12-2) against twelfth ranked Gernika (6-9) on Wednesday night. Visiting Girona was defeated by Gernika in Gernika 72-62 . It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Girona. Gernika made 23-of-26 charity shots (88.5 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for point guard Ane Olaeta (164-1999, college: CBU) who led her team to a victory scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian power forward Masa Jankovic (187-2000) helped adding 18 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was Mali center Mariam Coulibaly (192-1997) with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and Swedish guard Klara Lundquist-Holm (173-1999) scored 6 points and 8 rebounds. Girona's coach Roberto Iniguez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gernika moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Joventut. Girona at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost.
