They outrebounded Bilbao U22 45-32 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Valencia U22 looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Power forward Jorge Carot (206-2006) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and guard Alex Blanco (188-2007) chipped in 19 points and 4 assists. At the losing side point guard Kepa De Castro (184-2004) responded with 14 points and 4 assists and Serbian center Aleksandar Zecevic (207-2006) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest.
