LeaderZaragoza delivered the fifteenth win on Saturday night. This time they beat 5th ranked Avenida (9-8) 76-63 in Salamanca. Zaragoza looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was international guard Helena Pueyo (183-2001, college: Arizona) who scored 17 points. French Ornella Bankole (181-1997) chipped in 15 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). Four Zaragoza players scored in double figures. International point guard Iyana Martin (172-2006) produced 14 points and American center Khadijiah Cave (190-1995, college: Baylor) added 6 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zaragoza (15-1) have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They maintain first place. Avenida at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Leganes.
