We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Jean where 13th rankedJaen CB (4-12) was defeated by fourteenth ranked Gijon Circulo (3-12) 87-73 on Sunday. Gijon Circulo dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Jaen CB 's 28. The best player for the winners was Javier Menendez (201-1997, college: NMHU) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks. Trinidad and Tobago Imru Duke (203-1999) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Five Gijon Circulo players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Caleb Fields (188, college: Fairfield) who recorded 22 points and Portuguese guard Luis Faial (190-2000) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gijon Circulo moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Mataro UE and Molina.
