Date: January 24, 2026
Not a big story in a game when 12th rankedLa Matanza (3-12) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Quintanar (11-4) 80-70 on Saturday. It was a great evening for guard Andres Andrade (188-2000, college: WNMU) who led his team to a victory scoring 9 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Chris Murray (198-2000, college: Embry Riddle) helped adding 8 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Alvaro Gomez (195-2000) with 16 points and 7 assists and Roberto Gonzalez produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Quintanar moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams. Quintanar will meet Mostoles (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. La Matanza will play against Fuenlabrada 2 (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
