There was no surprise when 9th rankedAlcala (7-9) was crushed on the road by third ranked La Roda (13-2) 82-58 on Saturday. La Roda outrebounded Alcala 35-21 including 25 on the defensive glass. La Roda looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Jamaican forward Jordan Kellier (196-1998, college: W.Chester, agency: Olsta) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. DR Congolese center Gullit Mukendi (206-1996, agency: Promo Sport ID) helped adding 17 points. Four La Roda players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Alberto Torres (201-1998, college: Iowa Wesleyan, agency: BIG) with 20 points and 6 steals and power forward Javier Valverde (196-1998) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. La Roda keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Alcala dropped to the seventh place with nine games lost.
