Very expected game when 13th rankedPaterna (4-12) lost at home to third ranked Unicaja (14-3) 66-58 on Saturday. Unicaja looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Center Tayra Eke (190-2003, college: Washington) nailed 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and guard Maria Roters-Dubinina (183-2001, college: UAB) accounted for 5 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Mali center Aminata Traore (191-2000) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and forward Irene Broncano (183-2004) added 13 points respectively for Paterna in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Unicaja maintains third place with 14-3 record having just two points less than leader AzulMarino. Loser Paterna keeps the thirteenth position with 12 games lost.
