Very predictable result when fourth rankedAlcorcon (10-4) beat at home 12th ranked Almeda (3-12) 64-53 on Saturday. Alcorcon forced 26 Almeda turnovers. It was a great evening for Claudia Del Amo (-2005) who led her team to a victory scoring 16 points and 5 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Lithuanian power forward Dovile Miliauskaite (187-1989, college: Towson) helped adding 9 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Clara Tapia (165-1996, college: Calgary) with 11 points and 6 rebounds and Laia Jove scored 11 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Alcorcon maintains fourth place with 10-4 record, which they share with Picken Claret. Loser Almeda keeps the twelfth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Lleida.
