There was no surprise when 12th rankedAldaia (3-9) was crushed on the road by eighth ranked Almassera (7-8) 90-47 on Saturday. Almassera dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Aldaia 's 22 and made 30-of-36 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game, while Aldaia only scored four points from the stripe. Almassera forced 22 Aldaia turnovers. It was a great evening for Martin Poveda (-2006) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 9 rebounds. Jaume Jimenez helped adding 15 points and 10 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Four Almassera players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Sergio Carrion (190-1996) with 5 points and 9 rebounds and Sergio Cabrera scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Almassera moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 9 other teams. Aldaia lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with nine games lost.
