There was a minor upset in La Carolina where 10th rankedMontemar (4-10) was edged by twelfth ranked Carolinas (4-9) 57-55 on Sunday. It was a great evening for guard Ovidi Talens (-2004) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Diego Holgado (191-2006) helped adding 14 points. The best for the losing side was power forward Jorge Garcia (203-1977) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and Benat Terreros scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Carolinas moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Estudiantes. Montemar lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Castello B.
