Everything could happen in Madrid at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth rankedGetafe and 10th ranked Azulejos had identical 7-9 record. This time Getafe used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Zaragoza 94-93 on Saturday night. Point guard Alejandro Montero (185-2003) nailed 23 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winning side and Nigerian forward Mohammed Abdulsalam (206-1997, college: UNCG, agency: Olsta) accounted for 11 points and 13 rebounds. Five Getafe players scored in double figures. American guard John Zhao (193, college: C-N) came up with 19 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Oscar Rodriguez (184-1991) added 11 points and 10 assists respectively for Azulejos in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Getafe maintains eighth place with 8-9 record. Loser Azulejos dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. They share it with La Leonesa and Benicarlo.
