Very important is a road loss of third rankedValencia (15-4) against fourteenth ranked Estepona (7-13) on Saturday night. Visiting Valencia was edged by Estepona in a tough game in Malaga 66-67 . It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Valencia. Mali power forward Sika Kone (190-2002) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. Argentinian point guard Melisa Gretter (166-1993) contributed with 16 points for the winners. American-Serbian guard Yvonne Anderson (170-1990, college: Texas) replied with 14 points and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and international center Raquel Carrera (188-2001) added 10 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Valencia. Valencia's coach Ruben Burgos tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Estepona moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Estudiantes and Gernika. Defending champion Valencia keeps the third position with four games lost.
