Rather expected game when 9th ranked Viladecans (8-9) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Bonita (10-6) 85-68 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was forward Tania Gonzalez (179-1999) who scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Lithuanian swingman Elze Motekaityte (188-2002, college: Gardner-Webb) chipped in 16 points. Bonita's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Abril Torne produced 10 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Paula Curto (175-1997) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Bonita maintains sixth place with 10-6 record. Loser Viladecans dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Barakaldo and Ointxe!. Bonita will meet league's second-placed Dist.Olimpico in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
