There was a small surprise when thirteenth rankedAlmeria (3-13) defeated at home 10th ranked Fuengirola (5-12) 88-73 on Saturday. Almeria forced 19 Fuengirola turnovers and outrebounded them 43-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. Power forward Nahuel Pena (206-2002, agency: BAGENCY CSA) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Angel Contreras chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was Rafael Vidales (191-2003) with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Adrian Mayor (193-1996) scored 14 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Almeria moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Aljaraque and La Zubia. Fuengirola lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost.
