There was an upset when higher rankedSan Fernando (10-8) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Penarroya (1-4) 79-68 on Saturday. Andorra Carlos Aranda (172-2004) had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Pablo Villarejo (195-1992) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Penarroya players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Daniel Escamilla (205-2003) with 19 points and 8 rebounds and Jose Ruiz (200-1997) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Penarroya went down to thirteenth position due to points difference. Loser San Fernando dropped to the sixth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Dist.Olimpico. Penarroya will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. San Fernando will play against Sagrado Corazon (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
