There was a surprise result when thirteenth rankedEstudiantes (8-13) won against higher ranked Leganes (10-11) in Madrid 61-50 on Sunday. German power forward Frieda Buehner (186-2004, college: Florida) nailed 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and American-Nigerian center Nneka Ezeigbo (188-1998, college: RMU) accounted for 10 points and 13 rebounds. Mali forward Aminata Sangare (186-2002) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds and American forward Maya Dodson (191-1999, college: Notre Dame) added 4 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Leganes in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Estudiantes . They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Leganes lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost.
