Not a big story in a game when 9th rankedTelde (7-12) was outscored at home by second ranked Rivas (13-6) 101-61 on Saturday. Rivas outrebounded Telde 42-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. Rivas looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Telde 's players. It was an exceptional evening for guard Oscar Mendez (182-2000) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 9 assists. Power forward Alvaro Biersack (198-1995) accounted for 10 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side. Five Rivas players scored in double figures. Ignacio Mencara came up with 13 points and Arturo Fernandez (193-1995) added 3 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Telde in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Rivas maintains second place with 13-6 record having just two points less than leader Mollerussa, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Telde dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost.
