Everything went according to plan when second rankedValladolid (14-5) outleveled at home 12th ranked Gijon Circulo (4-15) 98-77 on Sunday. Valladolid dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Gijon Circulo 's 44. They outrebounded Gijon Circulo 42-31 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Tunisian power forward Mohamed Ochi (210-1999) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 8 rebounds. Inaki Ordonez (207-2003) helped adding 17 points. At the losing side American guard Tavin Pierre-Philippe (190, college: Adelphi, agency: BAGENCY CSA) responded with 20 points and guard Samuel Barros (190-1998) scored 14 points and 4 assists. Four Valladolid and five Gijon Circulo players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Valladolid maintains second place with 14-5 record behind leader Cordoba CB, which they share with Gandia and Castello. Gijon Circulo lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 15 games lost.
