Regular Season Round 19: Salesianos - Rosalia 73-66

There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Salesianos (6-13) defeated higher ranked Rosalia (6-13) in Ourense 73-66 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for center David Guerra (205-1989) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds. Canadian-Irish point guard Alston Harris (183, college: Lakehead, agency: BAGENCY CSA) accounted for 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Four Salesianos players scored in double figures. Carlos Gil came up with 32 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and guard Anxo Iglesias (185-2003) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Rosalia in the defeat. Salesianos moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated Rosalia. Salesianos will meet at home higher ranked Avenida (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rosalia will play against Navia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
