Regular Season Round 19: Ontinet - Adesavi 76-72

There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Ontinet (7-9) won against 8th ranked Adesavi (9-9) in Ontinyent 76-72 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for Chadian center Placide Nakidjim (205-1994) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. Power forward Jose Santonja (200-1992) accounted for 8 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Samuel Galvez (-2004) came up with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Victor Galvez (-2004) added 9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Adesavi in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Ontinet. They moved-up to ninth place. Loser Adesavi keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. They share it with SESE. Ontinet will meet higher ranked Sueca (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Adesavi will play against Elche (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
