There was a surprise result when thirteenth rankedMataro UE (6-15) won against at home higher ranked Getafe (9-11) 85-71 on Saturday. The winners were led by forward Jordi Juanola (196-1998) who scored that evening 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Jordi Boix (189-2003) supported him with 14 points. Even 13 points and 7 rebounds by Nigerian forward Mohammed Abdulsalam (206-1997, college: UNCG, agency: Olsta) did not help to save the game for Getafe . Swingman Guillermo Mulero (191-1997) added 12 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Mataro UE moved-up to twelfth place. Loser Getafe keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost.
