Everything went according to plan when third rankedValencia U22 (11-10) defeated on the road 7th ranked Granada U22 (2-18) 78-72 on Friday. Valencia U22 forced 29 Granada U22 turnovers. The winners were led by guard Alex Blanco (188-2007) who scored that evening 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and power forward Jorge Carot (206-2006) supported him with 18 points. Even 17 points by swingman Cristobal Vargas (193, college: Olney Central) did not help to save the game for Granada U22 . Luca Medal (-2006) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. Four Granada U22 players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Valencia U22 have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Granada U22 lost eighteenth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 18 games lost.
