There was no surprise when 14th rankedPeniscola (3-19) was outleveled by tenth ranked Tabernes (9-13) in Tabernes Blanques 101-63 on Saturday. Tabernes dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Peniscola 's 28. Tabernes forced 20 Peniscola turnovers and outrebounded them 43-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. Tabernes looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Manuel Aroca (191-1991) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) to lead the effort and Victor Mas supported him with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Even 16 points by Ricard Roman did not help to save the game for Peniscola . Raul Soro (-2006) added 10 points for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tabernes moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Peniscola lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Filipenses and Boadilla.
