There was a surprise result when thirteenth rankedAlmeria (5-15) beat at home higher ranked Murgi (11-11) 88-74 on Sunday. Forward Alberto Gonzalez (197-1999) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and Angel Contreras supported him with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Almeria players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) by swingman Gonzalo Carral (195-2000) did not help to save the game for Murgi . Argentinian point guard Alan Moreno (185-1997, agency: BIG) added 13 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Almeria moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Castello B and Carolinas. Loser Murgi dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
