No shocking result in a game when third ranked GDKO Bizkaia (16-6) beat on the road 8th ranked Manresa (10-11) 62-57 on Sunday. GDKO Bizkaia made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Leyre Vindel notched 18 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and L Leguina supported her with 7 points and 11 rebounds. Even 14 points and 5 rebounds by power forward Mariona Teixido (180-1995) did not help to save the game for Manresa. Carla Ortas added 10 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. GDKO Bizkaia moved-up to second place, which they share with Leon. Loser Manresa keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. GDKO Bizkaia will meet at home Barakaldo (#6) in the next round. Manresa will play against Ointxe! in Mondragon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
