There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Sevilla (8-18) edged higher ranked Al-Qazeres (11-14) in Caceres 62-60 on Saturday. American center Elizabeth Elliott (185, college: Pacific) notched 18 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Alicia Morales (-1998) supported her with 12 points. Sevilla's coach Eduardo Perez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 8 points and 14 rebounds by center Nerea Liste (-2003) did not help to save the game for Al-Qazeres. Portuguese forward Josephine Filipe (177-1995) added 14 points for the hosts. Four Al-Qazeres players scored in double figures. Sevilla have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain thirteenth position with 8-18 record. Loser Al-Qazeres keeps the eighth place with 14 games lost. Sevilla will meet at home higher ranked Melilla (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
