There was an upset when much higher ranked Caja Rural (20-29) lost on the road to sixth ranked Betanzos (12-13) 97-91 on Sunday. Randolph Acevedo nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Jorge Abelleira (180-1997) accounted for 27 points. Swingman Alvaro Gonzalez (193-2006) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds and Rodrigo Perez (-2005) added 18 points and 5 assists respectively for Caja Rural in the defeat. Four Caja Rural players scored in double figures. Betanzos maintains sixth place with 12-13 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Caja Rural keeps the second position with 29 games lost.
