Very expected game when 13th rankedMontemar (4-19) was smashed by fourth ranked Torrent (17-6) in Alicante 98-44 on Sunday. Torrent dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Montemar 's 16. Torrent forced 29 Montemar turnovers and outrebounded them 56-26 including a 27-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Torrent looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Alejandro Terrades (196-2001) nailed a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and Juan Jose Valero (-1988) accounted for 10 points and 9 rebounds. Five Torrent players scored in double figures. Power forward Jorge Garcia (203-1977) came up with 15 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and Carlos Gilabert added 4 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Montemar in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Torrent . They maintain fourth place with 17-6 record. Montemar lost their nineteenth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Lucentum.
