Regular Season Round 29: Logrono - Celta Zorka 64-61

The most exciting game of round 29 in the LF Challenge took place in Logrono. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-rankedCelta Zorka (27-2) to eighth ranked Logrono (14-15) 64-61 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the 26-game winning streak of Celta Zorka. Logrono forced 19 Celta Zorka turnovers. Dutch swingman Linda Van Schaik (178-2000, college: Oakland) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Cecilia Aldecoa (174-1999, agency: Promo Sport ID) contributed with 9 points and 4 assists for the winners. Logrono's coach Dani Rubio used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American Jessica Kelliher (183-1997, college: Lewis) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Deva Bermejo (166-2004) added 8 points, 5 assists and 5 steals in the effort for Celta Zorka. Logrono moved-up to seventh place. Celta Zorka at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. Logrono are looking forward to face Adareva (#12) in Tenerife in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Celta Zorka will play at home against Unicaja (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
