Fourteenth-rankedSalou (5-21) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Albacete (19-7) on Saturday. The visitors from Albacete managed to secure only three-point victory 83-80 . However their fans expected much easier game. Albacete made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Salou's coach Jesus Muniz tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Albacete maintains second position with 19-7 record having just two points less than leader Cordoba CB, which they share with Sant Antoni.
